In all seriousness, I expect Cassel to give it a shot. Unfortunately, I also expect the Bills to take a few shots at his ribs.

No way he doesnt play opening day...that is, if his only injury is the cracked rib.

I agree. This would be a good game for Palko to have a good TE to give him some easy throws on a bootleg or something. Luckly we aren't playing a team that can just remove Bowe from the field and force Palko to beat them himself.

Still, I expect Matt to be out there unless a doctor really scares the hell out of Haley.

Palko seems mobile enough to be able to run a play action based scheme with 70% run plays called...but lets hope he doesnt have to.

Their run defense will be much improved with Dareus/Williams together, and they added Nick Barnett in FA and Andra Davis is already pretty good against the run.

They definitely tried to address it, but they still have to come together as a defensive unit to effectively stop the run.

Yeah, for the Bills. Palko throws a 67-yard INT returned for a TD.

We had 274 yards rushing against them last year.

They will be improved, but not enough to make a playaction not be effective.

Our rushing attack has improved since then as well with the addition of McClain.

They added Barnett, but lost Poslunsky (who had 17 tackles against us last year). Thats gonna be hard to make up with a brokedick and a guy that is more of a coverage backer than a run stuffing one.

If they chose to try and pass against us 48 times like last year, we should be able to put them in some very uncomfortable situations, as well. We could very well have 5 sacks or more.

I think we run the **** over Buffalo if Cassel plays and if he doesnt, we still win by 7 or more.

NJChiefsFan 09-04-2011 11:30 PM

Yeah you can't leave Posluszny out of a converstation about the Bills change in run defense from last year.

Rasputin 09-04-2011 11:33 PM

Dustin Colquit, play defense, Ryan Succop.

okcchief 09-04-2011 11:38 PM

Palko is shit. I have said all along we need to cut him and sign a veteran backup. Doesn't matter who because anyone is better. I would much rather see Stanzi start.

I seriously have to question Haley's judgement if he thinks this guy is a NFL QB. I hope Cassel shoots up and plays. This game will be painful to watch otherwise. The way the offense has looked it may be painful no matter what.

This is a smokescreen people. Get Fluff-a-buff to prepare for two quarterbacks. We've been doing it for three years now.

I don't think the Bills would even need to prepare for Palko. The coordinator would probably just blitz more than he normally would if Palko started, it's not like Palko brings anything special that teams would actually have to spend time gameplanning for. It's not like he is a Tebow or Vick or anything who can make plays with his feet.

Eh it's pretty irrelevant. Cassel won't be listed as anything other than limited practice/possible whether he has a chance to play or not.
