Hm, maybe he's OK.

"The good news for Moore is that the new Collective Bargaining Agreement protects players from fines of more than 25 percent of their weekly base salary, which means his fine will likely be reduced to 25 percent of his weekly pay of $22,058.82, or $5,514.71."

Please, he's lowering his helmet trying to avoid a helmet to helmet hit.

Hell, you can see him trying to lead with his arm. The game is moving so fast, he sees the guy catching the ball, a split second later he drops it.....bullshit call, bullshit fine, bullshit commissioner.

You can't lead with your helmet, they've made that very clear the past few years. Whatever prompted him to do it doesn't matter.

MagicHef 09-07-2011 05:31 PM

I think he'll get it reduced to 25% of his weekly check, which is $1,425. That's much more reasonable.

This guy's JOB is football. He has 17 weeks a year where he's earning a regular paycheck....if he's lucky.

This is total garbage. A freaking UDFA.

Yeah good point.

You'd support Goodell if he made tackling illegal and put flags on the sides of the players instead, wouldn't you?

Yeah, because me agreeing that this is an illegal hit as defined by the NFL totally translates to that.

but i mean, if Goodell changed the rules, that would be THE RULES. ten years ago this hit was perfectly legal, then they changed the rule. you suppport that change, because it's now THE RULES. let's say it goes to flag in ten years, it would be the rules. you couldn't say anything about it, it's the rules.

why do you support this crap? this isn't football (even though i admit, it is The Rules)

JFC, do you not understand what AS DEFINED BY THE NFL means? Whether I'm in favor of the rule or not is irrelevant. There are plenty of rules I have to live by on a day-to-day basis that I don't like, but I have to comply with them or pay the penalty for breaking them. That's life.

Chiefnj2 09-07-2011 06:14 PM

A practice squad player shouldn't have to pay the same fine as 1st round pick who just pocketed 18 million in guaranteed money. To someone like Suh, the fine is equal to one days pay. To this guy it's 2 months of pay.

My father drank because my mom's pussy smelled like tuna, that doesn't mean my brother should been fined 20K, does it?

So also Flag Football Rules, if implemented and defined by the NFL, is something that players would have to live by on a day to day basis, and have to comply with or pay a penalty for breaking them, because that's life.

And you'd support that. Because you wouldnt have a choice, so it'd be irrelevant.
