Everyone mocked and laughed at me when I made this thread, but you can see from this week's games that I was 100% correct!
First, we see the Denver Broncos, who, during a tough season inexplicably benched their proven franchise QB for an unproven 2nd/3rd stringer and promptly proceeded to get completely destroyed!
Next, the Washington Redskins, who were actually having a good season and were 3-1 on the year! Then their QB had one bad game and they throw in some guy who only played five NFL games in his entire career. The team gets crushed and is completely uncompetitive!
I like what eric007 said, that this isn't Madden. Another analogy is that it's not Fantasy Football, where you bench players just because they had a bad week stat wise.
But the best analogy I can think of is how coaches and NFL management seem to think that QB changes are like relief pitchers in the MLB! Why would you make stupid changes like this? Being the QB of a team requires a lot of practice and reps! Cohesion and planning are extremely important! If you think that you can just throw a guy into the game in the middle of the season, with one week of practice and that he is going to play on the same level as guys who have been starting for the same team for years through multiple training camps...
You!
