Yes, I saw the pressure. I also witnessed a QB avoid it and completely forget he was suppose to throw the ball. I also witnessed a QB shit his pants on a blitz that was picked up and side step right into a Miami tackle for another sack.

The whole team played like shit. Cassel is a part of that team. This is absolutely on him and everyone else.

crazychiefsfan 11-06-2011 03:15 PM

He was very jumpy today.

ROFL

Mitch and Lenny trying to break down the game.

It's like describing a turd ... "Well, there's a piece of corn." ... "And it sure is brown." ... "It circled before it sunk, too."

Ridiculous.

wrong

everyone knows we played like shit today, but QB is the most important position...

he's the franchise, he's being paid to make plays...any play...just once see the wide open wr when you scramble you worthless pussy...

all the rest of the positions are easy to upgrade in the draft or fa, QB is not for a franchise and a fanbase that would rather not inconvenience themselves with the real root of the problem...

let's spend another decade complaining about the ol instead...

and pawnsmoker is a douchebag...just wanted to say that about anyone who thinks Cassel is a good QB

This loss is not on Cassel.

It's on Richardson and Crennel.

The problem with Cassel is that he doesn't elevate the play around him.

When the team sucks, he sucks right along with them.

Chiefs Pantalones 11-06-2011 03:16 PM

Wow. If people can't see that Cassel needs to be replaced then you don't watch the games.

Hootie 11-06-2011 03:17 PM

everything sucked

from players to coaches

so hard to cheer for this team...even with the ups you know the downs will come sooner than later and there is never anything to look forward to

...I was tricked into looking forward to today...worked 50 hours last week...was exhausted last night, didn't hardly sleep...woke up at 8 AM...played some video games to pass some time...

went to a Chiefs bar...and just flat misery for 2.5 quarters before I just tabbed out and left

awful

And injuries. And zero depth throughout. And damn poor cheerleading.

I didn't see a single pyramid.

Bingo. Cassel is what he is. Players around them have to do their job or it gets real ugly.

Usually but no always, when the rest of the team is on Cassel plays pretty well. Not always.

Damn I want a franchise QB.

jd1020 11-06-2011 03:18 PM

At least the Chiefs will be on Sportscenter tomorrow.

the Talking Can 11-06-2011 03:18 PM

it's always on the QB in the nfl

always

chiefzilla1501 11-06-2011 03:18 PM

Cassel wasn't to blame early.

But again, as I said in another thread, Eli had the same situation last week. Almost identical to Cassel. The difference is in the 4th quarter, he turned it up a notch and fought back. He's spoiled. In most games, he gets 3 and outs and the exhausted defense continues to bail him out. In fact, most top tier QBs have a handful of games in a season where they put a ton of pressure on their QB to put 30+ points to win the game.

Cassel had a bunch of opportunities in the second half to claw the team back. I'm not saying that's the reason we lost, but it's really deflating to know that 9 times out of 10, when the team is down by 2-3 scores early, the game is over.

petegz28 11-06-2011 03:19 PM

With our pass protection today I'm not sure any QB would have stood much of a chance

Top QB's would have read the defense, called an audible, and got the ball out quick. But Cassel looks around, see's an all out blitz, and shakes it off like he has time to let his receiver go 10 yards downfield.

it wasn't on Cassel today

it was on everyone, especially the coaches

the playcalling was atrocious...the defensive schemes were terrible

did we even game plan?
