Stanzi split first team reps last week per local reporters.

I'd almost be willing to bet he starts the last 3 games (barring injury)

It's about to get interesting for the first time in a very long time.

2 home starts back to back and then finishes on the road against Denver.

The other thing would be, I haven't looked this up, isn't GB's defense very weak?

That was Ponder's first start against the Packers right? World did not end.

ya, i'm reminded of croyle vs huard a few years ago. croyle was an unknown, and huard's skills were well documented. hope this guy turns out better then the last...

Their defense isn't that bad. BJ Raji can be a force up the middle. Clay Matthews is very disruptive, Woodson and Williams are pretty good. They would be licking their chops to see Stanzi.
The only way we see Stanzi is if he gets reps with the starters in practice. And then he still might not be ready.

Much like the Pats, the Packers' D has also skewed the stats because their team is always in the lead, so opposing teams are always passing to try to catch up, and the D is playing softer and more prevent.

But, make no mistake about it: even on their best days, both the Pats and Packers Ds are average. Are they capable of making stops? Of course. They can stuff a 4th and 1, they can pick off a pass, they can force a fumble. But, overall, a team can move on them.

Sad thing is, Palko was not a lot worse than Poili's boy Cassel. The numbers don't lie on this one.

YPG: Pack 2nd worst at 394 (Pats worst at 416).

PPG: 15th at 21.4 (Pats 14th at 21.1, BTW).

1st downs given up per game: 28th (only worse are Tampa, Oakland, Indy, and NE).

3rd down conversions given up: tied for 27th with Tennessee with 43% (only worse % are Minny, NE, SD, Indy).

Points given up this year (skewed by a few creampuffs):

Saints: 34
Panthers: 23
Bears: 17
Broncos: 23
Falcons: 14 (an actually respectable outing)
Rams: 3 (creampuff)
Vikings: 27
Chargers: 38
Vikings again: 7
Bucs: 26
Lions: 15
Giants: 35
Raiders: 16

If the Broncos can put up 23, the Vikes 27, and the Bucs 26, I don't see why the Chiefs can't. Especially because this game isn't at Lambeau. The Packers have already gone 13-0 and are heading home for the final two games, with the homefield advantage all but sewn up. The Chiefs will probably be taken lightly, given the HC firing and lack of a quality QB. If there's any time to get them, it's now.

Todd was the one starting Palko, pioli did not want that.

Crennel has said he wants to be a HC again...slice of an interview being rerun on 810...

kentbabbKent Babb

Crennel is not a slam dunk for the permanent job. He's 64 and not in great health. Right temperament, less-than-ideal time in his life.

Epic Fail 007 12-13-2011 12:10 PM

Todd was set up to fail on purpose
