From what I've been reading, Salvatore is responsible for large portions of the story. I can only assume from looking at videos and screenshots that McFarlane was initimately involved in the artistic direction - the oversized weapons, the bright, comic-book colors, etc.

I pre-ordered it last Wednesday.

Salvatore's Drizzt Do'Urden books were my bible as a child. I follow him on Facebook and he's pimping the demo. I'd assume his hands are deep in this, and will probably inspire me to ahead and get it.

Great stuff. Glad to hear it. :thumb:

If you pre-order at Gamestop you get a whole bunch of DLC - like 9 fate-touched weapons, 3 sets of armor, other stuff.

I think other retailers are doing the same but I liked what Gamestop had.

The big thing about this vs. others (like Fable 3) is that they're giving DLC that is useful for ALL character types.

I pre-ordered Fable 3 and got a free DLC hammer. Of course, I decided I liked swords better and that hammer never got used.

I will certainly do that. Thanks for the heads up.

Looks decent, should help tide me over until D3, Torchlight 2 or Borderlands 2 come out.

Demo comes out today.

Played the demo. Seemed pretty cool. Had the simple feel of a Diablo type game, but the more you progressed the more it got involved. Kind of cartoony. The story seemed interesting enough. I'll pick it up eventually.

Here's another interesting tidbit - 38 Studios is owned by Curt Schilling...

Pretty much like Fable and Todd McFarlane did the artwork? I'll be picking it up.

Hopefully it's not the linear POS that fable was, hated that game.

Watching the gameplay......is there no looting of bodies?

Shilling used to be a huge Everquest player. No wonder he wanted in on this.

The demo isn't doing much for me. The camera swings around wildly at the slightest adjustment (and reducing the sensitivity doesn't help). Had some headless characters walking around as well although I suspect thats likely to be fixed.
