What you have to hope is that the competition is between Orton and Cassel, Orton wins and Stanzi develops to take over by 2014. Which I don't think will happen, since I believe his ceiling is career backup. But given the cards that it looks like we're being dealt, I can't think of a more optimistic potential outcome. I still don't see this franchise drafting a qb in the first two rounds of the draft.

Chiefs are a better fit. He can wait to be named interim head coach when Crennel gets fired in 2013.

Do you have any clue how much Cassel is scheduled to make? Obviously, you don't. NE is not going to pay Cassel $6 million to be a back up, nor is any other team. Cassel is NOT trade-able.

Except, if RAC gets fired in 2 years, so will Pioli and the new GM will purge the entire coaching staff.
