Who ****ing cares?

Pasta Little Brioni 04-30-2012 04:49 PM

I really don't care anymore. Playing brokebackbronco with Elway and gobs of cash was obviously more important than winning.

I've never liked the thought of a guy that is 36 years old, coming off his fourth major neck surgery, and having not played football in a year and a half coming to my team. Never. I thought paying anything more than an incentive laden deal, which he would do if it was all about winning, was worth the risk. Hindsight is 20/20, and now that I know what denver gave to get him, I'm laughing my ass off. There is no butthurt here. I'm glad you got rid of the one winner on your offense and AT LEAST 40 million (he'll be there for 2 years) in order to have an outside shot to win in the next two years. You still gotta beat the best in the AFC, which Manning could only do once when he was healthy, with a strong supporting cast, in a dome, when he was 4 years younger. Sorry, there is no butthurt, just the facts.

There is no butthurt, only Zuul...

It was Tim Tebow, their franchise quarterback.

So? The fact that he didn't come to kc isn't what proves that he doesn't care about winning. The fact that he didn't go to the 49ers does though.

I believe the offer , in legal terms, was 'a ham sandwich.'

Can we stop with the childish remarks? A HOF QB with nothing left to prove comes back to play with a neck injury and doesn't care about winning?

Manning going to Denver proves only that Denver satisfied the largest percentage of his need factors. No more, no less. No insult to any other team or city.

Potential to win, front office/coaching staff, facilities, salary, environment conducive to his wife and kids, comfort level, friends in town, and whatever else he factored in.

That alone tells me it was mostly about the money. The guy is an ego maniac. It will NOT end well for denver. Manning is a decent blindside hit away from eating his filet mignon and lobster through a straw while wearing diapers. He wanted as much money as he could get his hands on. If it really was about systems and winning, he would have chosen SF, Tenn, KC, or ARI in that order. All have better systems up and running and more offensive talent around him. Its pretty clear why he went to denver.
