Rooting for losses = hard labor

It truly is a task...I felt a little pang of fear early in the game when Freeman was picked....I was really uncomfortable when it was only 7-3.

Then Freeman went HAM ON OUR ASSES in the second half and it was glorious parade of fistpumps. ****ing loved it.

Love that security of being up 21-3 and having Brady Quinn out there when you need a loss. Feels good.

Herm gave us a nice base when he left. There was a heartbeat there.

We weren't dead until these last four years under Pioli, who has wasted that talent.

He must be fired immediately or that talent will result in nothing.

Everyone thinking about the number one pick....Cleveland will likely be our biggest competition. They've yet to win a game, and they are worse than us...

They won today. The Raiders also have 1 win.

I feel sorry for you guys.....I used to care, follow and love the Chief's....Being so far removed, the Chief's rarely being shown on tv here and the fact that I'll probably not gonna ever live in the KC area again, makes it much easier for me to just shake my head and follow another team that I'll probably see on tv...

I remember the suck teams of the 80's - cheering for Art Still to make a play because there wasn't much hope or talent to expect a great play from anyone else. This team feels the same way - maybe Charles breaks a run or Houston gets a sack - that's about it. You know you're going to lose, so you just hope to see your team make a play - pathetic and sad.

Want to know what gets me through?

The fact that when Cassel comes back (and he will).....I'll be rooting for an injury every time he drops back. I want to see him punished for what he has done to this team.

It's the inadvertent survival mechanism of the NFL. No matter how bad your team is, there are always a few players who are good, and you want to watch their career progress. Whether it's Art Still or Deron Cherry or Christian Okoye or Jamaal Charles, it keeps fans from completely disengaging when a team has a few bad decades.

it was still fun to watch when other teams had to fights their tails off to beat the Chiefs. these days, not so much.

Yes I do. It was my senior year in high school and the Chiefs had beat the Vikings in what was to be calls Super Bowl IV.

I'm basically hoping for losses at this point. We need a #1 overall QB. It would bring a much needed breath of fresh air into this franchise that it desperately needs. I truly believe that. Be it Geno Smith or whoever it is, we need it. Not to mention a new HC, OC, DC...yeah basically a whole new coaching staff, and quite possibly a new GM to top it off. So after a horrible year of football, if we get a #1 pick QB, brand new coaching staff from top to bottom, not to mention the rest of our draft with the #1 pick in each round, and maybe a new GM, that would make me happy and excited for the future. How about you? Sound good? Let's get that #1 pick.

Another solid post. Awesome.

Bucs season ticket holder here in Tampa - things have been rough here, if it's any consolation. Our season was over by about the end of October or early Nov last season. Miserable. Started to count the days to draft day and Rays' Spring Training days.
