When the Eagles were making their deep playoff runs about ten years ago (sigh) I used to host NFC Championship Game parties as a prelude to the Super Bowl party I never hosted nor wanted to attend after the loss. I always pictured myself putting out a Philly spread for my guests since I don't live in Philly with Italian hoagies, cheesesteaks, soft pretzels, TastyKakes, Etc. When we actually made the Super Bowl I was so scorned from previous playoff losses that I did the same but was too anxious to put much effort into it. I watched the game at home with a few Eagles loyalists and the Cowboys fan I married waiting for the inevitable McNabb failure we all knew was coming. As he slogged the offense down the field burning clock and heaving all over the turf down by ten people started to file out dejected. I watched until the final gun, disappointed by the loss but happy that I wouldn't have to endure "next week's games". The end of the run had arrived win or lose. The food was comfort at that point. Go with local favorites - you know to make them best and in the event of a loss it will make you feel a little better.

I'll either be too nervous or have no teeth by then.

I'd be eating whatever was being served in the stadium, cuz this dude's going.

It amazes me how many people want to go to the SB.
Seems so impersonal as it relates to your team. |

Just getting into the nosebleeds at the SB costs a small fortune, not to mention all of the smaller headaches of navigating that mess... unless i won some kind of box view treatment, staying home would be the way i'd go. |
I want to watch them in person win the game. Why not?

What kind of food can you eat through a feeding tube? I'd say apple sauce with a pinch of cinnamon. |
Soylent Green.
