Riiight.

That's why he's been a writer at S.I. for decades, appears on NBC Sunday Night Countdown and before that, Inside the NFL, plus hosts a show on the NBC Sports channel with Mike Florio during the season.

So, you personally would have put Smith back in the lineup after he was medically cleared to return?

I personally wouldn't have traded a #34 pick for him

I wonder how accurate he was on deep ball throws?

Hard to say, but I don't think he was very effective because someone kept moving the goalposts...

I don't know why anyone in the national media would waste their time writing about the Chiefs, unless something of importance, like a player signing or the changing of regimes happens.

Face it: The Chiefs don't sell many magazine and don't provide much internet traffic as compared to the Patriots, Redskins, Giants, Cowboys, Eagles, Peyton Manning, etc.

So nobody is going to comment on this little tidbit about Smith?

He threw less deep passes than anyone in the league. He threw only 17 deep passes last year and only 36 in all of 2011. People want to say Cassel doesn't throw deep but even he had 34 attempts in 10 games last year.

I am aware. But I didn't watch the 9 ers last year or any other team other than our own abortion, so I guess I don't really know what I would have done.

Just sayin a #34 with another conditional for a player just coming off of a concussion is a bit of a stretch for me.

That's... fine. It's subjective, I suppose.

The way I read it, he got more yards per attempted pass per game than Flacco, and Big Ben and Stafford.

I can't find a single way thats a bad thing. If he threw more passes could that go down? I guess but it sounds like he was effective and was getting his yards in chunks to me.

Well, and Peyton Manning, wherever he may roam.

Its pretty confusing how a guy who really doesnt seem to know football all that well, somehow amasses such an impressive list of contacts who speak very candidly with him.

You'd think that the minute he started trying to talk about the game in front of them, they'd tune him out and vow to never spill anything in his presence... "this guy doesnt know what the hell he's talking about".

To compare two players so totally different?... as you say, a football genius he aint... i'd almost call him a glorified parrot that honcho's around the league go to to get their takes put out there.

As the guy that first brought the phrase "Rainbows and Unicorns" to Chiefsplanet back in 2009, I approve of this message.

The concussion isn't an issue at all for me.

It's whether or not you're getting the guy from 2011-2012 or the guy from 2005-2010.

It is for me now a days with the NFL watching them so closely. I fear another Boss situation in store for us.

All you need to know about Pissoli is from his interview with KK about Peyton Manning.

(Paraphrased)
KK : I would have signed Peyton Manning.
SP: You should be the GM of the Denver Broncos, it would be good for the Chiefs
KK: So you don't think Peyton will be a good QB?
SP: I'd be willing to take bets he won't last, Time will tell.

6 months later SP is fired, lolz and Clark mentions SP inability to get PM in for an interview.

How about the fact that he's only played a full season twice in his career?
