I was worried about Fisher when he said he needs to eat 7000 cals a day to get up to his playing weight. That means he's a pretty small guy naturally that has to work his ass off to get up to 300lbs. Those type of lineman always worry me as opposed to the 320 guy that has to cut 10-15lbs to get into playing shape.

Great. He bloated himself up for the combine. His playing weight is probably 290-295.

Would Eric Fisher eat it? I know I would. Then I would wash it down with a tall cool Budweiser.

Luckily for us, he can eat all the BBQ that Dontari Poe is giving up....

What if Fisher sucks at RT?

Then you draft another RT with your first pick in the draft next year and give Alex Smith a $60 million dollar extension to see what he can do when you surround him with the right 53.

Regarding the 2013 draft, Joe Staley may turn out to be the worst thing to have happened to the chiefs

All linemen eat 5000-7000 calories a day. U need that much to maintain that weight because of the amount of calories they burn in practice and workouts.

1st that's not true and 2nd he does that year round.

http://www.bobgretz.com/chiefs-footb...ic-fisher.html

From the time he left Stoney Creek High School in suburban Detroit, to his standing now on the cusp of the first round of the NFL Draft, Eric Fisher gained 70 pounds.

Working on a diet that at times reached 6,000 calories a day he went from 240, to 265, to 275, to 295, to 310 pounds. And, along the way he didn’t just gain weight; he built himself into a first-round choice in the 2013 NFL Draft.

A lot of people sure are sensitive about Eric Fisher.

The guy will probably be a good player in the league, but I think we all knew the huge overwhelming odds we were facing if he would ever even sniff his #1 overall value. That's always been why he was a shitty pick.

especially since he was drafted originally to be the right tackle, Anthony davis was supposed to be the LT of the future.

And, staley was the 22nd pick.

How many calories do you think a 300+ lb player burns during daily practices and workouts?

I think 500 would be very generous.

Again you totally missed the point. This was a 245lb kid that bulked up to 310 by eating a shit load of cals. He wasn't 280-300 coming out of HS as a lot of highly recurited lineman are.

Probably a lot.. Which is why he'll probably lose 10 pounds during the season if he can only get up to 300-305 in the offseason.

You understand that a 300 lb man burns ~500 calories with just a 30 minute aerobic workout, don't you? Just standing for a hour burns ~170 calories if you weigh 300 lbs. Walking back and forth between the dorms and practice 2x/day will burn ~300 calories.
