If the fence in right field wasn't 75 feet high, he'd have two homers today.

Just finished mowing. Looks like the Boys have had a nice start tonight

Mowing?
Are you insane???

Duffy is dealing. I love his attitude. He reminds me a lot of Sabes. He had that same kind of attitude on the mound.

Escobar needs to be more patient at the plate. Make this guy throw. He's got to be wearing down a bit.

Temperature wasn't bad but the humidity was horrible here at Beautiful Big Lake

Too bad that ball hopped over the wall. Dyson had three easy.

He might have had a shot at home

Dealing.

I'd say Duffys command is pretty close to being back 100%

stonedstooge 08-28-2013 07:31 PM

Duffy gets his pitch count under control, he's going to be a monster for this team

duncan_idaho 08-28-2013 07:32 PM

Duffy looks incredible.

Backing off a tick on the velocity seems to have rounded his control issues into form.

It also looks like he is throwing more of a slurve/slider tonight than an overhand curve, and I think he has much better control of that. Changeup is plus.

When he can throw first-pitch strikes with a breaking ball, he's going to be tough to hit.

Very encouraging.

Too bad we probably won't have Erv next season. Duffy is a 2/3, would push Guthrie down to #4 and then you have competition for 5 spot. Duffy is really mixing speed and location really well. If he can find consistency with that combined with his stuff, he's a stud.

SPATCH 08-28-2013 07:33 PM

Duff just out there shoving
