I'll release my opinion on Smith if his contract is renewed. Letting him play for his play is the right move imo.

My opinion (and hope) is that he is the two year stop gap(albeit at a mighty price) and Bray is ready to be a stud and take over by then.

Not even ****ing close. Gannon was a goddamned WARRIOR with they eye of the tiger, who could stretch a sideline beautifully when called for.

Now get the ****outta' here with that shit.

Get off my lawn.

So Gannon had a stronger arm than Smith?

?

Gannon lived off the middle. Didn't have the arm to use the whole field.

No. But, he had better anticipation with about the same or better accuracy. He would use his athleticism to his advantage.

Rich Gannon was just cerebral.

On another note; my goddamned avy is ****ing prophetic.

That's the question. Reid thinks Smith can be Gannon, Clay and Raised on Rats disagree.

I don't see it, and Gannon didn't have Bowe. Or "a Bowe".

Rison? Negro please.

There's a difference between being capable of throwing a football 30 yards and being able to do it with effectiveness in the NFL.

Just being able to throw the ball that distance isn't all there is. hitting a wide open man with a rainbow when he's behind a DB is one thing, but throwing the ball hard on a line between the corner and safety on a deepish out pattern is a different kind of throw. Anybody in the NFL should be able to do the former.

I see the comparison. I cant see Alex Smith being aggressive like Gannon was though.

That's our season. Reid thinks Smith can be Gannon. Either he can be or he can't be.
