That's it.

More pressure on QB = Superbowl contender ;) if they can 42 points a game with that defense we saw for the first 9 games we're contenders for real

Ah...yes, but Pioli recognized his full potential and nurtured it.

So much so that his first coach deactivated him for Dantrell Savage. (Don't worry, my meter's on).

We're on the same page. Said same thing many, many times. I've seen my share of Walter Payton Awards, Pro Bowls, All Pros, Coach of the Year, Player of the week, Player of the month, Hall of Fame - Pfffft. Nobody cares except the people who roll into those guy's living rooms and see those stupid trophies sitting on the mantle. I want the pinnacle and I want it soon. With regard to this team, I don't care about coaches, players, or front office people. I've been wrapped up in all that crap in the past. I want to win. I want to win now. I want to win it all. Anything less is not okay with me. Sorry about the extra expectations. Competitors should play to win.

Jesus, that's a name that I thought it would never be brought up again.

I agree, and I feel the same way. But also, with the pain and suffering of no playoff victory since 1993, and getting beat in 95, 97, etc, etc, it really takes a toll on a fan, that they even wonder if the Chiefs will ever win a playoff game again. It's like a battered fan syndrome, that once the Chiefs make it into the playoffs, you know how the ending result will be. One and Done. We're seeing a lot of people saying (and truthfully, I am one of them as well, I will admit) the phrase "I'd love to see a playoff win."

Truth to be told, I do want them to win the Hunt and Lombardi trophy, make no mistake, but first thing first, they absolutely GOT to get that one and done monkey (or gorilla in this case) off their backs before they can proceed to the next step.

You know, the way this sucker is playing out, if they get the Colts in the playoffs, they got a legit chance.

The Colts suck. They are the division leaders in the worst division in football. (Yeah, even worse than the NFC East.) They got two extremely lucky wins over the 49ers and Denver. If not for massive turnover benefits in those two games and a complete internal destruction of the Texans, they'd be fighting it out with Tennessee for that top spot in that division versus having it relatively in hand.

I think we beat the living crap out of the Colts Sunday and if it plays out, we likely get them again in the playoffs. I'll take that.

If the dufus is referring to Herm Edwards, the quote he stated on his presser should had been borderline fireable.

"People aren't used to this [i.e., losing] in Kansas City. Get over it, it happens, it's called life."

Since then, that's when KC went down the tailspin.

Oh I know what you mean, but when it comes to playoff time, every game from week 1 to week 16 is pretty much thrown out of the window.

Case in point. Remember the 2006 season? Larry Johnson was 2nd in the NFL in rushing (and the Chiefs were 9th in the NFL on rushing) and the Colts had the worst rush defense at the time, ranked 32nd in the NFL. It was a perfect matchup for KC at the time, right?

Well, didn't turn out that way, as somehow the Colts defense got on fire, and won the whole damn thing.

Charles is a fine player, but the only reason King is pimping him is because he is a New England homer who doesn't want to see the award go to Manning.

Ever since Pioli arrived, King has started to hype up Chief players and after Pioli got shitcanned.
