Tim Brown did all of that in the old NFL.

Imagine what he would do today.

Yet you left him off your list? I guess that's how it happens. :)

Tim Brown is an injustice, Raider or not he should be #1 by a mile.

Bettis absolutely deserves to be in, 5th all time rushing leader...ever.

Strahan should be a given.

Brooks should be a given.

Left with a Shields/Harrison debate IMO.

I'd have a hard time with Haley or Greene personally. I think Haley was a probowl type player but not HOF worthy who happened to jump between the two most dominant teams to get five rings. I consider him a Hali level player. Greene put up impressive numbers but didn't seem to really dominate or stand out even in his era that much, more of just a gut feel of "meh" about Greene to be honest.

Based on my very inexperienced opinion, Tim Brown, Will Shields, and Derrick Brooks should get in for sure.

Jerome Bettis should not get in.

ray guy was no jerrel wilson. that is one reason that peter freaking king of all people has lobbied against guy. the superior punter has gotten NONE of the pub that guy got.

I think it's primarily because he was drafted high.

I do think we should have some punters in the HoF, and I think he's destined to be the one.

I hope you're wearing a cup.

.

What's the rationale for this?

TIM BROWN
At time of retirement his 14,934 receiving yards were second-highest total in NFL history;
1,094 receptions were 3rd;
and 100 touchdown catches were tied for 3rd
Total of 19,682 combined net yards, 5th all-time at time of retirement

Sound like HOF numbers to me

I always wear a cup. I've seen too many pictures on the internet of people taking footballs or child punches to the groin.

However, it's pretty obvious that Ray Guy is the punter with the best chance of getting in. I seemed to remember Jerrel Wilson as the best punter, and his career gross average is notably higher than Guy's, but for some reason Guy has been anointed as the punting flag bearer.

I bet the NFL goes and gives those guys concussions. They're costing them some TV ratings.
