KISS didn't get into the Rock and Roll HoF due to contributions from Vinnie Vincent, Bruce Kulick, or Eric Singer or any of the other dudes nobody can ****ing remember. KISS got in because they were an instrumental piece in the development of heavy metal music - both their mid-70's sound and the make-up. The original line-up is the only line-up that matters, and it's the line-up that should be performing on stage at the R&R HoF. If they want to bring in other current and former members for a super jam, great. Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley are two of the biggest assholes in rock music, though, so that's no possible. |

For the longest time the HOF would not induct them because they refuse to donate any items for the display. They wanted the HOF to pay for it. assholes. |

My favorite band for a reason. |

As an influence, no. After Led Zeppelin, really no other band influenced the birth of American metal like they did. |

I've always thought Peter Criss had the most interesting vocals in the band. It was a shame he didn't sing more. Ace had a really good sound. The guys who came after him didn't have that beautiful warm tone and that, to me, is what turned them into just another '80s Hair Band as someone else suggested. Watch this clip. Paul's guitar sounds like shit and he's playing sloppy as ****.
