Yeah he played poorly at the NFL level playing a spot that he had to learn against better competition than he had played against ever before.
Every starter should have to "earn it" to keep their spots but that doesn't mean they aren't penciled in as the starter at whatever position during the off season and preseason. Eric Fisher should have played LT last season and put Albert at LG.

Kind of a cool training method. Spend a year learning how to do everything with your "off-side," and now that you are moving to your more natural side, it should come more easily.
