What kind of procedure did he have on his shoulder? If it was a labrum or rotator cuff I doubt he'll be 100% when the season starts. He definitely won't be any more muscular then he was last season.

Hell, it could take a year or more to fully get the strength back in that shoulder if that's the case....

But it also means if his shoulder was stinging all year long, then just being healthy will make him stronger. That and him transitioning to a position where agility is more important than strength. A few people have commented that Fisher often looked like he was compensating for his shoulder. When you use bad technique, that's when groin injuries can happen.

I'm worried about if the kid just can't stay healthy. And an offseason of conditioning would have been nice. But it's silly to think last year was representative of his ceiling if he was playing hurt. I'm sure the doctors wouldn't recommend surgery for a phantom injury.

:clap: You nailed it in every way here. The only thing I'm concerned with is his ability to stay healthy.

Exactly.

Fisher = bust

Now I just hope he turns into a decent O-Lineman, forget All-pro.

He's only going to get better this year. I know because I read it on CP.

What kind of injury history did he have in college? Anything?

planetdoc 04-21-2014 03:34 PM

Fisher: Played between 295 and 300 last year.

I knew it ... he struggled with that shoulder all year long.

They should have shut him down and started Albert and Stephenson

Agreed, more than a few plays where it looked like he simply couldn't use his left arm, which is why it was so easy for players to make an inside move against him.

so he misses two games in 4 years in college, struggles in the rookie NFL season with a position switch vs bigger stronger NFL defenders with injuries and he's an injury prone bust?

I hope they didn't make that shoulder a chronic issue.
