That's a hell of a cancer too, even being a Cards fan I couldn't stand Butler, my cousin is a Royals fan and loathes him, I think I'll go to a game with him to heckle tubby. I remember a game of yours I watched on tv last year where the fat **** took about two steps up the baseline by the time the infielders made the play, that guy is a disgrace to the game. Oh and his pouty faces make you want to kick puppies.

It really is a shame. Billy IS a gifted hitter with potential coming out of his ears, but he's just seemed to plateau for whatever reason. There's no reason he shouldn't be a 25+HR and 40+2B guy every single year. He has that kind of talent. For whatever reason, be it between his ears or outside issues, he can't live up to it. But in the interest of fairness, none of our hitters outside of Hosmer, Escobar(:spock: ), and maybe Perez are living up to it this season, either.

Agree with all this. Alot of the criticism we rain down on him is the Royals fault though. These issues with his power have been known for years. Its the Royals fault for trying to make him some "centerpiece of offense" and putting him into the 4 hole. Id be alot more tolerant of him if he was batting 6th or 7th, and we had a real star batting 4th.
