I think that may be enough.

I mean, it's the best in NFL history. Tops Jim Brown.

That alone should get it.

Priest had more in his amazing 3-year stretch.

Yep.

And also had Tait, Shields, Weigmann, Waters, and Roaf in front of him.

Charles' TDs are a direct result of JC being JC.

He was just letting you know that Charles isn't a qb.

I guess he felt you needed a reminder???

Playoff success isn't a prerequisite for a non-QB. Sure, some stat guys like Fred Taylor could have used some playoff success to boost their resume, but Jamaal is above and beyond guys like Fred Taylor. He'll be fine without it if his ability holds up. Because Chiefs

Brian Walters blows. Give me Donald Willis any day.

Team success isn't a prerequisite at the same level as for non QBs, but it still does play a role, and Taylor is one example.

But you can like at guys like Emmit Thomas, who was among the top 10 all time in career interceptions, who wasn't enshrined for 40 years after he retired, and Johnny Robinson, who had 1 more career interception than Thomas, and Ots Taylor, who had better numbers than Lynn Swann, as players who illustrate that fact.

I've always said that Tommy Nobis was every bit as good as Ray Nitsche, but he will never get in, because of the surrounding talent.

5.5 will not get Charles in.

He will have to get over 10,000 yards, and the Chiefs will have to make some noise in the playoffs to have any chance.

Looks like he's just shy of 7,000 yards and 60 TDs for his career.

He'll need about three more seasons at his current level of production to reach 10,000 yards and 100 TDs. That may just be able to get him in the Hall..

I'm a couple rows up as he's walking off the field. On the telecast they showed him and Thomas jones high giving each other and I'm right behind them lol

For comparison:

(Drafted in 06) Marshawn Lynch is at 8,600 yards and 80 TDs

(Drafted in 07) Adrian Peterson is at 10,000 yards and 90 TDs

(Drafted in 08) Matt Forte is at 7,700 and 60 TDs

(Drafted in 09) Lesean McCoy is also just shy of 7,000 yards with just over 50 TDs

(Drafted in 08) Chris Johnson is at 8,600 yards with 50 TDs

Jamaal is pretty much right in line with all of the top backs as far as career numbers go; actually doing better than most if you account for the fact that he didn't start his first year and missed an entire season due to the ACL injury.

Playing in such shit offenses his first several seasons really limited his TD opportunities but he's more than made up for it the past couple with Reid. If he can maintain this level of production for a few more years and do some damage in a playoff win or two his chances will look much better.

Jamaal is truly great. What a great, great, great pick by the Edwards regime.

One thing that I've noticed is how terribly efficient Charles' running style is. That last head-on view of the kickoff vs Pittsburgh shows how there is no wasted motion. Legs/feet are absolutely in line with his route.....man, the guy has a beautiful stride.

He'll have to do better with no post season memories to boost his cred.

This team needs some post season wins for anyone outside of KC to have much respect for the talent here...
