I wondered what ever happened to Skip Towne... I see his children are alive and well in this thread....

I don't remember the last time I saw a 3D movie, but it was at least 30 years ago.

Not a fan. Starts giving me a headache after a while.

I don't like them. They make my eyes hurt and I am generally uncomfortable for the entire movie.

Eleazar 05-14-2015 08:33 AM

I don't think I would ever willingly pay extra for 3D, even for an action movie.

I'm guessing that's why the 3D movies have all the best and most showtimes. Not because people want to pay for it, but just because they want to see the film.

Theater operators know this, so it's just a way to make people pay for something they don't want.

I am hooked to the IMAX 3D. Well worth the extra money I think.

Piss on 3D. IMAX is where it's at.

The problem with IMAX is there aren't enough IMAX theaters around.

Oh, and there are way more pussies around here than I thought. LMAO

The last movie I saw in a theater was the first Star Trek movie, so yea, it's been awhile. I might to a 3D movie when extra "glasses" are no longer required.

I tried to watch a 3D TV once in Costco (?), but I got nauseous after 1 minute.

Jaws 3D. Worthless otherwise

Predarat 05-14-2015 11:21 AM

They charge you all that extra $$ for 3D then make you give the glasses back. Unless you sneak out the outdoor exits that do not go back to the theatre. Then you can keep them.

I was never told to give them back. I've been to a few 3D movies, and I kept them every time. Well, my son kept them. There was a box to place them in, that's it.

BigMeatballDave 05-14-2015 11:33 AM

Also, since my son was a small child we've always gone to matinees. The charge for 3D is null, then.
