You can't go wrong with either right now. I might give the edge to Moose just for his defense. Carpenter has certainly proved to be a better hitter over the long haul, though.

It is definitely going to be raining tonight but it looks like the heaviest of it should hold off until close to when the game should be ending.

Volquez is gonna rape the Redbirds.

Yadi is aging. Can't stop time. But, his ability to call a game, his baseball knowledge and managing a pitching staff still makes him the most valuable catcher in the game.

He is going to be a great manager after he is done playing.

But, I do love Salvy.

Histroically, when we face a good pitcher for the first time, we struggle. Just like last night. We have killed Volquez when he was with Cincy. We know all about him.

Of course a fly ball pitcher like Volquez is a different cat in Kauffman with the large outfield, instead of a band box like Cincy.

He pitched at Bush too you know....:p
