Heh. I watched that one in my then-girlfriend's hospital room (gallstone surgery) and recall that the Ravens got him on the KO but got flagged for something. Everyone seemed to think he'd burn 'em with the second chance, and he did.

Yes, I think it was offsides on Baltimore - I think that's the only penalty a kicking team can have on a KO save for PF's. Yeah, I spotted the flag and was pointing it out to the group and we all had this feeling like he was going to bust the next one. Insanity ensued and we got a few threats and middle fingers while cheering the TD.

Alex smith most invisible TDs.

Rain Man 07-07-2015 06:39 PM

I'm noting that Jamaal Charles had 17 percent of his rushing yards on 2012 on 3 carries. That's kind of funny. Those three runs add 0.9 yards per carry to his season total.

And then the sad news....
Tied for least receiving TDs in a season
Tops for longest # of minutes in a season without a lead in the modern NFL

On the plus side, they have the loudest stadium record and largest stadium flyover record. So there's that.

Not trying to derail this thread, but I thought this was very interesting and thought it fit the spirit of the thread.

In 3 playoff games, Alex Smith has exactly 1000 yards (873 passing, 127 rushing), 10tds (9 passing, 1rushing) and no turnovers .

Wasnt that his fumble that got Indy rolling?

That's why PFF didn't even have Jamaal as a top 100 player for the 2012 season

I could have swore somebody said the exact same thing earlier this thread.

I'm almost certain of it...

It's an interesting complication. Those three runs took him from a 4.4 average to a 5.3 average. But those three runs were the equivalent of three epic drives.

No Jackson had something like that, but more so. I think he had something insane, like 2 or 3 runs were 20 percent of his CAREER yards.

Most RBs with good ypc have 2 or 3 big runs to get them to that high number.

What this illustrates is just how dangerous Jamaal is when he has adequate blocking.

What the poor blocking over the last couple of years illustrates is just how good Jamaal really is.

The fact that he has been able to maintain 5.0 ypc carry is a testament to just how damn good he really is.
