Any company that looks down on neatly trimmed facial hair isn't a company you probably want to work for.

I applied at Wolfgang Puck's in Disney a couple years ago and they told me I'd have to shave. You're only allowed a moustache there.
What kind of horseshit is that? I can't even grow a moustache anyway. |

Shave, if you don't have a lot of experience it will show on your resume and if that is the case, I would say they are looking for young talent.

Going to just shave it all off.
Thanks for the advice all. |

Before you remove that glorious neck-beard, go to the job site and see what the facial hair sitch is. |
I would rock the waddle from the Chargers beard.
If I can't have one to work for you then its not an establishment I see a need to be in. |
Unless you're going to be wearing a name tag and steel toe boots just shave FFS.

I haven't gone to an interview clean shaven in more than 15 years. At least had a goatee. That's 7 jobs (some of them concurrent). Never seemed to hold me back.
I always present who I am. I'm not going to change who I am. I don't want to set an expectation that I'm not willing to uphold. That means I'm going in with facial hair of some sort, and every interview in the past 10 years, I didn't wear a tie. I'll wear a nice shirt, slacks, a blazer if that's what they want. I don't do ties. |
