LeBron announced he's staying in Cleveland.

CaliforniaChief 06-22-2016 10:51 AM

I think he said he had "no intention" of leaving Cleveland. Just a clarification. He'll still opt out of his contract, but I would put the odds at about 95% that he stays.

Lakers fans (I'm one) are delusional about LeBron. Also about other major FA's. Just because they're the Lakers. Luke Walton helps. Having Kobe gone helps. Drafting well would help too, and if they're going to move Russell they'd better get something really good back.

Hield's upside is Klay Thompson; a great set shooter with passable handles and court vision. Ingram's upside is Anthony Davis. Neither one of them are likely to approach that level, but Ingram just presents far more versatility and while Hield can be an exceptional complementary piece, I don't think he can be a cornerstone player. Ingram could be and the Lakers cannot pass on that possibility.

Ingram comparable to Anthony Davis? :bong:

Ingram compares to Tayshun Prince to me. If he reaches his potential it could be Kevin Durant type.

Is Noel really worth the 3?

I'm not a Philly fan so I haven't watched them really at all but my recollection was that the guy had no offensive game at all to speak of. Has he polished it up there?

I figured something like Clarkson for Noel might work but if the '6ers can get the #3 for him, that's obviously a better return. I figured they'd be stuck looking more in the late lottery range given their pretty poor negotiating position and his questionable offensive role.

Not sure. Can be an elite defender, but offense isn't there yet.

Wow.

Bulls just essentially salary dumped Rose. Unless I'm mis-reading the trade return and they also get the Knicks first rounder, I just don't see the point in this deal.

Rose deal

They said bulls sends rose to Knicks in multi-player deal. So I wonder who they would get ?

Mother****erJones 06-22-2016 01:39 PM

Thank god Rose is gone. Take your overpriced often injured ass to NY and play 30 games with Melo

Yea I was cool with trading Rose, but this makes absolutely no sense.

That reminds me of those comparing Simmons to LeBron earlier in the year, except Ingram to Davis is even worse (they aren't similar in any aspect of their game).

KC_Connection 06-22-2016 01:48 PM

KevB, I told you that somebody out there would be stupid enough to take on the corpse of Derrick Rose. Unsurprisingly, it turned out to be the Knicks.

Bulls instantly become a ton better with this trade while the Knicks should stay more or less the same. I don't know if Chicago can convince Gasol to come back, but if they do, they should be the #2 team in the East next year without that anchor Rose bringing down their offense.

Marco Polo 06-22-2016 01:53 PM

He burned his bridge in Chicago. New York fans won't be any nicer.
