This league really is dink and dunk now though. It's become that way out of necessity due to the increase of great pass rushers and defensive schemes and a decrease in talent along the OL.

Everyone is wrong sometime.

The problem with Carson Palmer is that he would of died behind the Chiefs o line.

Maybe, maybe not.

The Cardinals had a really bad offensive line for a bit as well and he's still kicking.

Boy it's really good we have the Dink master then...

I mean we wouldn't want to get someone who had too big of an arm, because it might mess up the dink-dunk mojo...

God bless the folks that want 75 yds pass plays every possesion.

Bradyis a dink and dunker. But let's not pretend his game is even remotely similar to smith's. Brady does it through lightning fast reads, not check downs. He stretches the field horizontally whereas alex relies on the middle. And he's outstanding on third downs where Alex Smith is inconsistent. I like Alex smith's game end of last year where he opened the game up. He must throw downfield not every play, but enough to loosen up the D. Even if the game is dink and dunk, most Ds don't cheat in the box on other qbs the way they do Alex.

You honestly believe your dumb shit, don't you?

This is all true

There is a difference between "throws downfield sparingly" and "does it at a league-low rate."

I do not consent.

I can't wait to see Clay's reaction to this. That the whole league plays like his favorite QB, Alex Smith.

False statement.

– The 21-30 yard range is essentially the border between an intermediate and a deep pass, and there are a number of different types of throws than can be made at this range.

– Alex Smith threw only 2.5% of his passes at this range, just above Robert Griffin III and Ryan Tannehill.

The only great QB who truly airs it out anymore is Aaron Rodgers, that's why everyone considers him the best in the league year in and year out, he can do it all with consistent success.

another QB and offense that does it regularly is Carson Palmer, but he makes far more mistakes than Rodgers does.

How does Aaron Rodgers' team perform when he plays against a top five defense? Despite being one of the best quarterbacks of all time, he has routinely lost to solid defensive teams.

You also can't compare a guy who has had edelman, moss, Gronk with a guy who was stuck throwing to bowe, Hemingway, fasano, and Kyle Williams

Old news. WRs changed and Alex didn't.
