It's ****ing scary

We created it 20 years ago.

Only now with quantum computing (it's simple now, but the end result is inevitable and nearly impossible to comprehend) and SSD's is it possible.

We are already using AI's on our phones and computers, when we have IBM Watson's all over connected together doing everything important for us with no checks and balances then I will get worried.

Actually they aren't teaching Watson to "think", he is more like a super computing calculator being used for all sort of data collection and analyzing.

It's all the other guys they talks about that are trying to replicate human intelligence that is the scary shit.

If they ever get that final "click" to happen and a computer really starts to be self-aware then it's only a matter of time before robots kick our ass.

I remember that yellow ass robot, and hot ass Kristy Swanson.

I imagine 35 years from now when I'm old, we'll be having this conversation about the rights of robots. I'll call them circuit monkeys and be appalled by them. I'll get offended with humans mate with them. The young people will say I suffer from crippling robotism and how bad of a person I am because I do not treat them as my equal.

Imagine that this is now and we're living it.

Imagine your news dictated by a calculation.

Wasn't really paying attention. Was waiting on the Bryan Cranston interview. Seems like a really cool guy.

We've been doing it forever. Who wants to go to the river and scrub clothes clean as opposed to a washer/dryer. I don't find it weird at all.

Not exactly AI but totally calling dibs on building the first Death Star.
