Hated reading this. Especially since it was due to complications from surgery. Especially since I'm having surgery tomorrow. Like reading about a plane crash before a trip.

Good luck on your surgery tomorrow, to paraphrase Simply Red... you'll be fine

Chet was one of the best comedic performances of all time.

Ive seen that damn movie at least 30 times, and every damn time he comes on the screen I'm dying laughing.

RIP

Sonofabitch! A greatly underrated actor IMO

How about a greasy pork sandwich served in a dirty ashtray?

There's always a risk of infection with any surgery, but that's usually afterwards. You can throw an embolism at any age. I had a friend pass at 27 from one during a pretty minor surgery and he was the picture of health. It could have been a reaction to the anesthesia.
I was really starting to enjoy his new series as well. It was kind of a 180 from his role in Big Love.

They're saying now it was a stroke from complications of heart surgery...

Dammit, RIP Bill Paxton. Loved him in Big Love among others, but that was the biggest role that I followed.

Red Dawg 02-26-2017 12:24 PM

That sucks. Bill was damn good in the movies. Sad day.

RIP Bill

Technically he detonated a grenade rather than be killed by an Alien.

I JUST watched Tombstone last night.
Weird.

Well, maybe not that weird....good movie.

Sometimes when your number's up, your number's up. He was obviously a very wealthy man and must have had a top notch team doing the work.

But what does "complications from surgery" mean? He's young. He shouldn't have complications, unless the surgery was major or unexpected

I'm listening to a podcast he did with Marc Maron right how. Bill said that when he was a kid he had a bout of rheumatic fever which for a while he didn't know he had and it ended up damaging one of his heart valves.

He might have been in a surgery for that for all we know.

Also, 60 isn't young, especially for someone with heart disease.
