They aren't letting Berry go this year, one way or another. Hopefully that means they are hell-bent on getting a deal done.

Yeah you can't draw comparisons to Justin Houston in fear of not paying the man. He overcame cancer for god's sake. If he did get hurt it'd just be the luck of the draw and nothing you can control. He's earned a big contract and he's a leader and the heart of the defense with DJ. Give the man his check already.

Which tag? The one where he can only sign with us, or the one that lets him negotiate with other teams?

EDIT: History says we almost always use the non-exclusive tag. That would allow Berry's agent to work out a deal with say Atlanta. Then we would have one week to match the offer. If not, Atlanta and the Chiefs would have to agree to some form of compensation.
