Jimmy Johnson said he was trying to avoid a PI call. Thats bogus. Williams clearly was going in to upend Diggs big time and just mis-calculated 'because' he dropped his head thus losing his vision to make sure he upended him.

Peters misses that tackle but causes a strip TO and an INT in the game.

Since a game cant end on a defensive penalty...I'm sure not committing PI was discussed. It would have given them a FG attempt...and it looked like was trying to avoid making premature contact although his inertia carried him into and past the play.

Oh..and Peters should keep his twitter fingers to himself....karma is going to bite him in the ass.

I know it sucked, but at least dude's team made it that far. Hard to talk smack from the golf course.

Even if Williams does upend Diggs it wouldn't have been a PI because when you look at when the ball got there and when Williams whiffs it was simultaneous. I don't think the flag is thrown on that play IMHO.

NFL players do it all the time

I remember some Jaguar players trashing Jay Cutler back in 2010 after the NFCCG

kcfanXIII 01-15-2018 02:37 PM

His tackling and effort were better after he got benched. I hope he continues to improve that aspect of his game.

Iowanian 01-15-2018 03:01 PM

At least that guy TRIED to tackle someone.

Talib trolled losing QB Cam Newton in his post SB news conference. That to me still stands as the ultimate insult ever.

You haven't been watching NFL officiating this year then.

Yeah who the hell wants to put that in the refs hands. I suspect he went for a hit and realized it was the wrong decision and then just backed out of it. Obvious right choice was to just wrap him up after he caught it and keep him in bounds. At worst it's a long FG.

What hasn't been talked about enough is how horrible of a defensive call it was. Diggs was WIDE open.

And if you watch this broken clock for 24 hours it'll be right twice.

Appreciate the thought, but MP has no business posting what he did.

Look, I’m a huge Marcus Peters fan. I am. I wear the guys jersey every Sunday. I paid $275 for an authentic one...I appreciate his passion for the game...I like that he plays with emotion.

That said, I’ll be damned if I haven’t seen him attempt multiple tackles in the same form that this dude for NOLA did. Peters is great at stripping the ball, but that’s his main concern when approaching a ball carrier...it’s either shoulder check the guy, strip the ball, or nothing at all. You rarely see Peters form tackle anyone.

Reminded me of a Ron Parker tackle.

You actually qualify that as a try? Not even close. He looked like he was trying to avoid contact!
