Here are some of the things Mrs, 2bike and I like.

The Bicycle ride down Haleakala- you get up there before the sun come up and watch the sunrise. Then ride the bike from 10,000 feet down to sea level.

Massage at the school of massage in Makawao. Get a 1 hour massage for $30 Then dinner at the Haliimaile General Store. Be sure and get the Pinapple Upside cake for dessert.

Zipline at Piiholo Ranch

Eat at Flatbread Pizza Company in Paia try the Mopsy. The kids at Piiholo ranch were bagging on the mainland for what we call Hawaiian Pizza. They love the Mopsy. We ran into Owen Wilson at FlatBread he was a pretty decent guy. My wife saw him again the next day up in Makawao when we went for a massage and he remembered her name so she was impressed to say the least.

The Gazebo offers a good breakfast but get there early and prepare to wait. Its not very big but very popular.

We have been on several snorkling and diving trips no real favorites. I have never had a bad trip. If you are a diver the back side of Molekini offers some fantastic dives.

Lapperts Ice Cream is pretty good we always have to go there to satisfy the wife's sweet tooth.

How I miss Lapperts. Best ice cream in the world

My wife is crazy about some Coconut Macadamia Nut concoction. We literally go there everyday of our vacation.

Thanks for all the ideas. I am going to be there for 10 days, so I will try to most of these suggestions. I question the road to Hana, but everyone says if you hit the stops it’s worth it.

You'll never understand the preternatural beauty of 5,000 shipping containers rocking to and fro in the fog of the Bering Sea.

you need to get all the way to the end. The Seven Pools of Oheo was my favorite thing from, all 3 islands when i visited (Maui, Kuai, Honolulu).

When we were there in June, the pools had been fenced off, because of a “tragic” accident.

We took a tour van on the road to Hana, just us two couples and the local guide, only way to go. Didn't have to fight the curving roads and he knew all the neat stops to make. Even went into some lava tube caves for a bit, good times. Maui brewing company has some good brews and the only frosted bar top I've ever seen, to keep your glass of beer cold. Very good food their also. We happened to be staying at a motel about a block or so away, so it was favorite spot to walk to.

I tried driving the road to Hana. Not only does it scare the shit out of you, as the driver you can't really enjoy any scenery because you're trying not to kill everyone in the car. Some sort of guided drive would be better.

Gotta do it at least once. Everything else on the list you will mostly repeat all of your future trips to Maui, and believe me, there will be future trips.

I did the Road To Hana about 22 years ago, today I don't have the balls.

It sorta sounds cool at first, but at the end I wasn't thrilled I spent all that time driving on a ridiculously windy road. Why? So I can buy a t-shirt that says "I survived the Hana Highway"? Yeah, meh. So much awesomeness so you pick that? I wasn't thrilled with that choice.

You're such a good poster but that is shit advice. :hmmm:

Its a great place to visit.

Yep, the road to Hana in a convertible or on a motorcycle (I’ve done both) is awesome. Probably the most scenic drive you’ll ever take and there’s enough stops along the way to steady your nerves while hiking to some very scenic waterfalls and pools. Wear a swimsuit and a shirt you don’t mind getting dirty.
