Two of my cats are named Starbuck and Apollo.

I had a dog named George. He was kind of stupid and cowardly. He was a stray that was going to end up being hit by a car so we took him in.

If I owned a bulldog or a pit bull I would name it Tuco.

My brothers kids named their cat “Salad”.

Seeing a grown man stand on his back deck wearing only boxers screaming “SALAD! God dammit...SALAD!” Into the night is one of the highlights of my life.

My wife talked me into taking in an abandoned cat last spring that a fellow teacher at her high school found out on their property. Brought him home and I was playing with it and he leaped up and did a back flip. My had been asking me what we should name him and I said, there can be only one name now "Ozzie." She knows next to nothing about Cards history so I had to pull up a video to explain.

They called her Torry for short.

Seems odd that they didn't go with Notorious P.I.G. ;)

Human names for pets like Robert or Brad, etc always seem weird for a pet. I recently ran into a cat named Liam. I was doing inside repairs for a client and she warned me to watch out for Liam because he thinks hes a dog. Ok whatever. So this cat Liam would watch me work from a few feet away and wait till I wasnt paying attention and come steal my tools out of my tool bag. Hed just grab a tool (pliers), and carry it about 6-7 feet away drop it then repeat the process. The other odd thing about that job is she had a dog named Brad that scurried away after I entered never to be seen again.

John Wayne had a dog named Dog in Big Jake.
