WRONG-WRONG-WRONG-WRONG-WRONG-WROOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNG. I don't give a **** about stats in this case. Grbac was ****ing ASS that year and when Rich took over, the ride began. And what a ****ing ride it was. Rich had mojo and more importantly, he had that team believing that they could take ANYONE who dared cross their path. That defense, Gannon, and Marcus Allen were a ****ing MACHINE. |

Guess it would be the 68 or 69 Chiefs?
|
Such a different era than when we won the Superbowl. Twice the number of teams and the game has gotten much more complex. The chiefs just happened to be one of the first teams to be good back then. We were lucky to have good timing.
This team would beat that one like a drum. |

The thread title says "best team in Chiefs history" and your post says "the answer". Is it team history or NFL history or what? Because the best SRS in team history was 1968. |
Oh I see it now. The thread title and the body of the post don't match. Bait and switch! :D
In all seriousness, you accidentally asked two questions. Best team in Chiefs history, according to SRS, is 1968. Only time the Chiefs led the league in SRS? 2003. |

Were you in a coma that season? |

Best team = best team in the sport. It was harder to rack up a high SRS number in a league with more parity, so it's harder to be 2003 KC than 1969 KC. |

And yes, I admitted fully that I was mislead by the incongruence between your thread title and the body of your post. Seriously though, I totally misunderstood the purpose of your post. Your explanation clears it up. Thanks. |
