What's weird is I checked out the new Simms and Lefkoe podcast today and he basically said this take that Peters sucks is completely misguided and that from watching his film he isn't even bad.

It's that the Rams are asking him to do stuff that maybe 5 guys in the game can do and you will get beat when you are put in those spots.

But anyone it should be checked out instead of taking my word for it. It's right around the hour point of todays show when they talk about the Saints/Rams game.

YES.

Asking a guy to shadow the other teams top WR in press man coverage takes a special type of player.

Peters is good at things. He's not being asked to do those things. He's being asked to do things like he's Revis or Deion freaking Sanders. He's not. He was never a shut down man corner. He was a reacting playmaking corner.

I watched this too, but it ends up more of an indictment of the coaching staff than anything. If he's been asked to do things that are beyond his abilities and your defense is largely getting scorched, someone is ****ing up.

Well, Wade does what Wade likes to do. He's an established and very successful DC, and he's probably not going to alter the entire philosophy of his defense for one player. Who knows what kind of chain effect that could have on the rest?

Though as much as that group has underachieved with the talent they have, he might try switching things up.

I hope his biggest problem is snot bubbles clouding his vision in Mexico City because the Chiefs know he's a punk and run power sweeps his way 15 times.

I'd love to see TEs and pulling guards and the sausage clearing a path to his side and watch him get driven into the dirt by 27....and then seal his meltdown by Mahomes throwing rockets over his head 10-15 additional plays.

His problem is he's a selfish punk, just like I suggested when he was here. So glad he's gone.
