They are definitely temp items that are not released again for several years if not decades... if at all. How long they are available is hard to say because it depends on the set's popularity.

Being quarantined for what will amount to a month straight, I started researching things we could do to make the time melt. I never played with legos because my parents were shit and didn't do anything with their kids, so I figured I could try something my kids and I have never done. Being that we are all Harry Potter fans, we bought a used copy of Hogwarts castle that was separated by color. It's been a real timesuck working to put this 6,000 piece behemoth together, but so far it's been a top 10 family activity for sure. And holy shit has Lego come a long way!
