Jesus man. Prozac is downright terrible for you...really any of those SSRI drugs are bad. Especially when you become dependent on them. Rx's never cure anything, they just help manage (some) symptoms, and they're designed to turn patients into customers so you keep coming back for more.

No different than your regular ol Joe street dealer, except FDA/DEA make it legal.

I dunno what's gone on in your life to make you take those drugs or become depressed...we all have issues, but you know what snaps you out of that....eating better and exercising. Having sex will help too.

You're a ****ing idiot

I usually have to go to the doctor once a year for back pain and he'll prescribe me some hydrocodone. When I take one I can REALLY focus on whatever I'm doing. like if i'm painting trim on a rental I can cut that paint in perfectly. I could see where it would be easy to get hooked. I'd take one every day if I could but I know thats not good anyway . I only get about 15 a year.

Frequently used it to study during finals week in college. Loved it, but it was very addicting. Began to use it for work and then stopped once I realized that I felt horrible without it.

Maybe why it requires a prescription :)

Who's on it?

I have been on it for three months now (prescribed), and the shit has been life changing. So much more focused and motivated. I know it gets a bad rep, and is widely abused, but I think the pros outweigh the cons with this one.

What say you?

It helps everyone who takes it, but unless you truly have ADD it won't be life changing.

I would definitely recommend. Or provigil/modafinil. But Adderall is much cheaper, and in my opinion more effective.

Ive taken Modafinil on rare occasions and it also is much much safer than adderal. Adderall feels literally like you are on drugs. Modafinil doesn't, it just gives you a general sense of wakefulness & concentration.

It's just too bad they don't make a drug for that..

I’m really interested in Hamas’ viewpoint on this discussion. I know he’s the chemistry guy who knows all this shit

I'm sure there's some filthy breath, triffling teeth and pychosis issues in your future if you get strung out on this crap.

The top image is Adderall, the bottom is methamphetamine. Of course it makes you feel better and more energetic. The only difference between the two drugs is a methyl group on the latter, which gives it more lipid solubility and thus a longer residence in the brain.

Yeah that’s the problem with anything that makes you feel better, perform better, alters your mood. Just like a medication for BP, it masks but does not correct the underlying problem. So it’s addictive, because who doesn’t want to feel better all the time. Unfortunately the brain can develop a tolerance and gradually it can require more and more to achieve the same effect, increasing the likelihood of side effects on other organ systems. That being said, some really benefit. But the abuse potential is so great. I’ve seen many young people who took it just to get an edge in their studies who ultimately became completely strung out on it, panicky, hypertensive, tachycardic, etc.

Need to do some “research “ can you send me some please? Could return the favor with some legit medical marijuana.

Buehler445 03-10-2019 10:05 PM

It terrifies the every living **** out of me to alter brain chemistry.

I have a friend that is a hookup and I take adderall on business trips when I know I'll be doing a lot of driving and not getting much sleep at night. I suppose it would be easier to just get a script but I just never got around to it.

EPodolak 03-10-2019 10:20 PM

It helped me a lot, until it didn't. There are 1-2 uncommon "side" effects in particular you wouldn't care for, if you get a script so you can be more attentive use the lowest possible dose.
