Absolutely. Lebron James is a great player but terrible for organizations. He's a player who wants control and that almost never works out well. He helped Cleveland win a title and then destroyed the organization on his way out. Firing coaches, forcing trades. Lebron is a terrible GM.

I'm not surprised by this. As legendary of an organization as the Lakers are combined with the fact of how attractive it is for NBA players to live in LA there is no way the Lakers should be this bad for this long.

Magic has done a terrible job as President. Time for him to go. He got LeBron and he still couldn't even build a team that made the playoffs. LOL!

Pelinka's ass should be gone too like ASAP but the ESPN story said he's coming back...what a dumb move that would be.

I also am only a marginal follower, but it seems like the only time they've been close to a good team was with Demarcus Cousins.

AD has a Carmelo Anthony feel to him.
Great individual talent who doesn't raise the level around him.

They were much better last year after Cousins was hurt. They swept Portland in the first round. Davis is an excellent player.

If I was in his shoes I'd quit out of shame too. How ****ing terrible do you have to be to not be able to surround LeBron James with enough talent to even make the playoffs in a league where more than half the teams make it?

Listen to 20 minutes of Magic talking about basketball (or maybe 50 minutes so you can get 20 minutes of basketball talk in between 30 minutes of him talking about himself) and you'll immediately understand exactly how terrible you have to be.

About as terrible as Magic Johnson.

I completely understand now why the Lakers weren't getting meetings with marquis players. And also that it would've been impossible for them to NOT sign James. He wasn't even considering anywhere else because if he was, he would've ended up going there.

Magic's a worse executive than Elgin Baylor and I thought Baylor would be the high water mark for lousy NBA executives pretty much my entire life. He was laughably bad and Magic is inarguably worse.

Scott Pioli was better than Magic. He's awful.

A lot of shit on Twitter that some rather unflattering things about Magic are fixing to drop and that's why he quit...so he doesn't have to face it and to get ahead of the news.

!@#$ing knew Griffin's name would pop up.

And deep down in the darkest recesses of my soul I feared that Kobe's would. Jeanie loves him.

Shit, he can't be any worse than Magic. And the public vivisections of Lonzo would be damn entertaining. If Lavar tried to stir shit, Kobe might actually literally murder him at a presser. And no jury in LA would convict him.

ROFL

Sassy Squatch 04-10-2019 01:29 PM

Go get Griffin and Lue, and reunite LeBron with Irving. For the lulz

Jerm 04-10-2019 01:45 PM

No idea if he'd even consider it but Buss should go to Sam Presti with a blank check and say name your number.

Valiant 04-10-2019 02:37 PM

Honestly just have lebron be player, coach, GM and save some money.

You forgot Head coach and he already did that in Cleveland and he imploded the place.
