It really may take 10 years 400 mil to get Pat signed next offseason.

RealSNR 04-16-2019 10:18 AM

I get guys wanting to be the top paid player at their position.

But Jesus ****ing Christ. Do you have to DWARF the next closest guy in terms of AAV by so much ****ing money?!

"Aaron Rodgers is getting 30 million per year? Well, I demand 35 million per year or get ****ed!"

Jesus ****ing Christ. That's some unreasonable ****ing shit.

I don't know if it will take that much, but if you want to future proof the contract you might offer him some huge number.

With a possible impending lockout coming it'll be curious to see if Pat does a short term deal for now to give him flexibility down the road.

There won't be a lockout. They aren't gonna skip paychecks when it gets down to it.

I'd give him the 10 years and just be done with it.

Yeah.

Sign him ASAP before the price goes up even more.

How could the price get higher? He's the league MVP and he's 23 years old.

Then he would just wait till after the new CBA is agreed upon.

His rookie deal goes through the 2021 season with the 5th year option and extensions are racked onto the end of current deals.

Should be interesting.

just overall market inflation. Every year the price just goes up for the same product.

Red Dawg 04-16-2019 11:32 AM

Just give Mahomes the team. That way he could pay himself as the owner and there's no cap hit as he would only be on the books for the vet minimum.

Hope you are right but I have my doubts. There is a lot of tough talk, I understand that there normal is and all that, but this seems different. There are big changes that both sides want.

Wilson making more money than Rodgers? Wow...
