Blake Bell and Deon Yelder!!
|
Hadn’t really looked at Hardman prior to the pick but I like him. I was thrilled they actually took Thornhill. I don’t know anything about Saunders other than what I’ve sern tonight, but he’s got some juice.
If Veach could move up tomorrow and snag Julian Love, I would say he did really well. |

He absolutely redeemed himself this entire offseason and draft after last year.

If Veach somehow pulls off a PP trade I’d give him a reach around

It's also hard to fault Veach for not filling CB etc when he was forced to go get a WR he shouldn't have needed. Not that we couldn't have gotten one at some point even with Hill but this whole situation was dropped in his lap and he didn't have much choice.

Hill’s situation forced Veach to adjust meaning we missed an opportunity to fill one more hole. Hard to fault him for that. But he did get a potentially solid replacement for Hill. While he might not put up Hill’s numbers, the closer he can get the less we will miss Hill. Overall he brought in very solid players and I am excited to see what our new D-Line coach can do with Saunders. I give this grade an A.

Can we put Veach in charge of the cheerleader draft?

A and I'm a teacher so it matters more. Line up quietly please.

Veach's other two picks redeemed the Chiefs draft dramatically but boy Hardman seems like a question mark to me. It's clear they drafted him as a Hill replacement but will he work at the game hard enough and absorb new skills fast enough to match Hill? He has little experience facing press coverage, his route tree looks very limited, and the thing worrying me most is his ability to make adjustments to the ball in tight coverage. I do think he's a scheme fit here and with time Andy will manage to make him into a decent WR. But man there's a lot of uncertainties and I wonder if we didn't leave better options on the board in search of a Hill clone. |
