Remedy, Jealous Again, By Your Side, Thorn in my Pride, Twice as Hard, Hard to Handle, Mr. Jones are some great ones just to name a few.

I always thought they were more Rolling Stones than Zeppelin

Well, they've definitely got a Faces/Stones thing, which became less pronounced after the first album, but there's also a definite (and obvious) Zeppelin thing going on, especially from 92-01, but there are also subtle blues, R&B, country, and jam band influences that they wrapped up into one big awesome Black Crowe Burrito.

They definitely became their own thing, they assimilated their influences and transcended them by their second album.

But not only did they sound really awesome, the thing that separate them from a lot of bands that have a great sound are the songs, their songwriting is just PHENOMENONAL.

Right, because that was a whole 9 month period out of a 30 year career.

Was never a big Black Crowes fan but this was a great episode. Steve seems like a really cool guy with great stories.
