Fingers crossed it’s only stage 1 with a surgical removal.

Found out last week my step dad, a much greater man than my biological father, has stage 2 esophageal cancer. Believe it or not that was encouraging news, because the Friday before that we were under the impression it was stage 4 esophageal cancer, because they had thought it spread to the liver. Luckily the liver was cancer free. Only about 38% of people survive past a year at stage 4. This is the first person close to me that has gotten cancer.

My wife has had a bothersome heel for awhile and been putting off going to the doctor because well life. She finally went and found out she has some pretty serious bone spurs under her achillies tendon. Apparently she has a partial tear already and was told 90% chance she has to have surgery for this which involves detaching the tendon, shaving off the spurs then attaching it back.

Sounds like a barrel of fun surgery right there.

Make sure your son heals that collarbone properly. I have some friends who are still messed up to this day because it didn't set right.

Never heard of the heel issue. I've torn lots of ligaments, never a tendon.Sounds painful. All the best to her.

I had a shitty week too. Lost my job at a company I'd worked for for 20 years. While not physically painful, painful all the same. Could be a lot worse...

Kansas, Iowa and Chiefs all lost.

Sucks man.

She had really bad glaucoma. She had completely lost sight in that eye. All she had was terrible pain which she dealt with for a year. No eye meant no pain so she opted for removal. She dealt with it better than I did.

Have your wife get a second and third opinion. It could be a bad case of Plantar Fasciitis which can be treated without surgery.

She had an issue with that last year, pretty sure that isn't what it is, you can actually feel an indention on her achillies.

Chiefs sucked, Hawkeyes sucked, wifes boss/mentor passed...oh and found a bleeding polyp in my bladder and need surgery to remove/biopsy it

I'd get your spine checked for a tumor.

Well, I'm sitting in the hospital waiting room as she's about to have her surgery done. I expect to be here most of the day and maybe into tomorrow right now.

I hate hospitals....being here for a prolonged period of time is something I really don't like at all.
