Did you watch him at all? At what point was he even close to being average DE speed much less "fast"?

Glad we drafted a good role player with Veach's first ever draft pick in the second round when numerous better players went after him.

We should have, but that doesn't make Breeland Speaks suck any more or any less. He can have value on this team when healthy.

It didn’t look like they were going to use him exclusively as a DE. IIRC he was projected to be an interior rusher type who could sometimes play DE.

It’s too early to write him off as we haven’t really seen him play his true position. But with a 4 game suspension he better make a mark in the second half of the year or he’ll be gone after his rookie deal
