I'm trying to listen to the new Robert Palmer tape, but Evelyn, my supposed fiance, keeps buzzing in my ear.

Nobody was cooler than Palmer in those classic 80s videos. Nobody.

Here's a couple of deeper (and funkier) cuts-

Here he is backed by Lowell George and The Meters:

And here he is doing a reggae version of Randy Travis' hit "On the Other Hand":

Mr. Palmer may no longer be here to help you score with chicks from Norfolk, but Weird Al is still here to get you some of that sweet Boise Idaho pussy:

I bought Robert Palmer's first album back in 1974 at Tiger Records. I was attracted to the album because Lowell George of Little Feat produced and played guitar on many tracks. Also the legendary band The Meters backed up on the album which influenced the New Orleans jazz funk fusion sound. If you havent heard the Meters look them up on you tube the are great with Art Neville and awesome drummer Zigaboo Modeliste. My favorite song of Palmers was the Allen Toussaint penned Sneakin Sally through the Alley a great album by the way.
