If he’s MCcoys replacement he will probably be in the top 51.

Well okay Veach build up that fricken defense and offensive line with draft picks and cheap contracts. I was pushing for a first round back but you pair Pat Mahomes with a top ten caliber defense you are going to win a ton of games. Corner/LB/IOL or LB/Corner/IOL in the draft please.

This is a good move. Patrick and DeAndre had great chemistry at Tech.

The Chiefs don't have a lot of cap space so they're signing guys to 1 year deals whom they hope show enough to make the PS or 58 man roster. Only the Top 51 players count against the cap so as long as Veach continues to sign guys to Vet Minimum deals, the cap impact is zero. |

I also don’t think this precludes taking a RB if they have a top 10 grade on a certain player and they fall to 32 - or conversely a Top 20ish grade on a player that falls to 63. IIRC both Williams and now Washington are on one year deals, lots of future flexibility and potential need. While I like what Williams and Washington bring to the table and RB is now NOT a high priority need, there is certainly room to improve the position through the draft if the an elite back we really like falls. |
This guy is gonna get practice squaded or he'll be the RB3 and take Darrells spot.

Is this the same RB that Derrick Johnson hit?
Wrong RB it was on Richard. |
I like this move.

RB depth got worse and was exposed as the year went on last season. Having another quality receiving back on the roster is beneficial in case of emergency. I like this and the Weber adds.
Remember last year vs the Colts when Tyreek and Sammy were both out and Damien Williams was still hurting? Would have been nice to have this guy.. |
Here is a fun fact: DeAndre Washington was the host player for for Damien Williams when he visited Texas Tech as a JUCO prospect in January of 2012. Williams obviously ultimately chose to attend OU, but spent time with DeAndre being shown around campus and town. Those two also have a pre-existing relationship, albeit less significant.
