Apparently the giants were interested in him.

As first reported on the GiantsExtra Text Service, the Giants have been in close contact with Michigan defensive end Mike Danna, according to an individual with knowledge of the team’s plans.

Danna has communicated with members of the front office, and the coaching staff has been impressed.

While just about anyone in the maize and blue locker room would tell you that Danna was the freakiest athlete in there — perhaps more so than enigmatic players such as Donovan Peoples-Jones — you have to believe it to see it. So, seeing a 260-something-pound defensive end jump like he’s DPJ should get some people’s attention.

Pretty clear what Spags and the staff are looking for in the draft.

This is hopefully our Rashard Fenton pick.

No one knows him, or expected him, but balls out.

He was at Michigan not exactly a small school.

He transferred because he wanted to play against the best competition and was a backup DE at Michigan

I'm thinking if Michigan had a pro day, this guy gets noticed. Might have worked out wonderfully for us.

ChiefsPlanet scouting department.

I like the pick, but I really wish Brad would’ve given up next years picks you move up and get him.

Chief Northman 04-25-2020 01:51 PM

I think Veach morphed into John Dorsey for Day 3.

SPARQ!

He has tools and a good athlete. May have been situation thing at Michigan that he didn’t get a chance to play to his strengths. Could be a scheme issue or playing in the big 10 probably gets you less opportunities to rush passer
