Nah

I don't really get the 'bum' talk.
You can pretty much write him down for 15 games and 1,000 yards. He has that one season in Oakland where he just vapor locked and dropped everything thrown his way. Then last year they were really trying to spread the ball around with Cooper, Lamb, Schultz and Gallup/Wilson in the Y getting over 100 targets. Pollard/Elliott got 100 targets as well. I mean would any of us really turn up our noses at a 70% catch rate and 70 receptions for 900 yards out of our #2 receiver? What the hell are you looking for if not THAT guy? Cooper would be very nice fit here. He's a great route runner, gets strong separation, is willing to be physical and can run after the catch. He's not Lou Gehrig out there but he IS usually healthy. He checks a TON of boxes. I think too many Chiefs fans are just conditioned to shit on anything Raider (and Cowboy, for that matter) so they're not giving him his due credit. |

But ability isn't. Cooper is a good receiver. |
Veach has shown that he's willing to spend on talent around Mahomes. Shit he went and spent $48 million on Watkins and shocked everyone. He could easily do that again this year.

He shows up for some games and then takes several games off. I watched him closely when he was a Raider and he has all the tools but often just looks disinterested. Is this a trend that he plays for a couple of seasons and then checks out? As a Raider fan I had much higher hopes for him but certainly wasn't heartbroken when he left.

He would be a perfect #2

I would sign him. He would work well with PMII

That's just too rich for a #2 wideout. Anything north of $13 is probably further than I'm willing to go to address that position. Again, we have a half BILLION dollar quarterback. He shouldn't need $60 million plowed into his top 3 targets to be successful. And he doesn't. It's an unnecessary luxury splurge and something I would've hoped we have already learned some lessons from. |
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Part of the plan here, I’m told from a league source, is buttoning up a long term deal for Michael Gallup. <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Cowboys?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#Cowboys</a> felt it was an either/or and are making Gallup the priority. <a href="https://t.co/3eUp7ffIRR">https://t.co/3eUp7ffIRR</a></p>— Charles Robinson (@CharlesRobinson) <a href="https://twitter.com/CharlesRobinson/status/1499773946593431555?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">March 4, 2022</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Does that mean we should blow the bank on a WR2? Not necessarily but it wouldn't surprise me. |

- still has great wheels - good to great hands - amazing route runner Plus will probably rape the Raiders every game. |
