Yep, I had to do a quick edit because I looked him up and that wasn't the guy I was thinking of.

5 RB's in the first round. Times have certainly changed. Charles was the 9th RB taken and a FB was picked before him.

I absolutely loved the Glenn Dorsey pick. Man.

With the depth of the draft due to the players delaying coming out due to Covid-19, the Chiefs could really fill some of the voids on the team. Or perhaps use some of this year's draft capital to trade up into next year. Would be nice to be drafting higher than the late 20s or early 30s however that's the price of success. With the college game evolving more into a pass friendly system, more players are ready for the NFL now than ever before, IMO.

I am still surprised Dorsey lasted 104 games. He was so dominant in college and so non dominant in the NFL.

I remember thinking DaJuan Morgan was going to be a superstar.

I just can't believe we had pick 5 and 15 and we passed on a Super Bowl winning QB twice!

(Hint: Starts with a J and ends in oe Flacco)

I think I'm joking, but then again, we did start Brodie Croyle, Damon Huard, and Tyler Thigpen in 2008. And were only one year away from trading for Matt Cassel.

I think most of us would take the same success for this year in a heart beat.

It's also interesting that we got those 12 picks in 2008 by trading away a Hall of Fame-level player in Jared Allen, and in 2022 we got our 12 picks by trading away a Hall of Fame-level player in Tyreek Hill. Both were drafted late as well.

I'm doing the math, and it seems like a good way to get a lot of draft picks is to draft late-round future Hall of Famers and then trade them.

Man Dorsey had so much hype as a prospect. Didn't do much and that was still a great draft

He sure wasn't a Ryan Sims! RS is the reason I worry about that Georgia front line. How many of them relied on a Julius Peppers?
