honestly I have no idea what's going on as I haven't been tuned in much to that thread - but I don't care (regarding the OP question)

He won’t show up for camp, but I don’t think he misses a regular season game. To those saying he won’t be motivated…what planet are you from? This whole negotiation was centered around him betting on himself to earn an elite contract.

He’s not getting that by sitting out and being out of shape.

I expect him to not miss a regular season game, show up in the best shape of his life with improved technique and for him to have a career year.

He’s bet EVERYTHING on that taking place.

He's a professional athlete with man-boobs. He's not doing any extra work that he doesn't have to which includes going to camp.

The ramifications of this decision on our season loom large. Road game at Arizona followed by the Thursday nighter vs the Chargers. Can’t afford to come out with the line not in sync.

Yea, and he might have thought he was an elite LT that was going to get an elite LT contract after signing a newbie agent at the last moment.

I'm not yet convinced he understands how these things work.

BigRedChief 07-16-2022 06:51 PM

Didn’t he already say he will play on the tag.

Tribal Warfare 07-16-2022 06:55 PM

He'll drag ass but he'll show up because he wants to be "an all-time great" who's proud being a shitty athlete

Even so, when he decides to sign/report is kind of an important decision with regards to those first two games.

If he does not, I will personally kick his ass at the George Brett statue.

Comanche 07-17-2022 05:27 AM

As usual, he will be slow getting there.

Creed Humphrey and Trey Smith attended the fifth-annual OL Masterminds summit and worked with Wille Roaf. Brown reportedly played TENNIS to prepare for the season. :harumph:

I think he'll play the season, $16+ mil is just way too much money to leave on the table, plus it doesn't show much to any other team. This guy isn't a Top 5 LT, and I'm not even sure he's in the top 10. I think he was foolish not to sign what we offered.

Red Dawg 07-17-2022 07:26 AM

OBJ was crazy not to sign the deal. If he is convinced he will get more after this year then his best play is to show up and dominate all season. Then a team may pay him what he wants. If he skips days that only costs him money for next year as well.

You know, for someone who needs to shed a few pounds and work on foot quickness, tennis is actually really good training. Intense cardio + a lot of muscle memory work on reacting quickly and making small, fast foot movements/reactions.

He'll be here probably 2nd week of preseason if I had to guess
