Theres this thing with our secondary. While being ranked low and giving up big plays, it still looks better than last year. It's a young group that's been playing tight. We haven't seen as many blown coverages or guys flat getting beat like last year. And this, my friends, has people optimistic. We could surely upgrade, but the way they are playing leaves room for optimism.

Agree to disagree. Secondary has not been good. They’ve had their moments and I’m sure they will improve barring injury. I believe that in this division, any opportunity to get a decent deal on a secondary upgrade is worth looking into. That’s all I’m saying. If Veach decides to stay status quo, I’m good with that.

That line did not help the writer’s credibility. It may be heresy in some circles, but so far I believe Reid has been an upgrade over the HB we saw in the latter half of his last season here. Reid is the polar opposite when it comes to making business decisions on tackles. And so far, no bizarre social media postings. :)

The secondary hasn't been bad, either. It wasn't only our rookies that got burnt last game, it was Fenton that got a DPI call and lost track of Adams. Where do you think we have cash to trade and pick up the remainder of his salary? Get McDuffie back and play with what we have.

It's like some if us are watching completely different games. This secondary has played well and will just get better as they grow together. We've had some breakdowns but every team has breakdowns. Overall, they are ahead of schedule.

Saw him at Dillards on the third floor of Oak Park Mall. He said it was quiet there and a good place for him to collect his thoughts.

You fix the problem with the deep passes by improving the pass rush and not allowing the qb time to make the deep throw. A cb doesn't fix that problem. Our guys have typically been right with the wrs on those deeper throws. The young guys haven't learned yet to make sure to locate the ball and Fenton has struggled some. But getting pressure on the qb is a much better fix.
